Tuner Evolution – Philly Part 1

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia.  So I’ve been told.  Every time I’ve been there, it’s actually true.  Home of brotherly love and cheesesteaks.  Anytime you tell someone you are going to Philly, the first thing they say “Bring me back a cheesesteak.”  But why should I?  Have you provided me any food when you went on a trip?   Ok, you don’t always have to get something to give something….and to be honest, when I do travel I wish I could bring something back for everyone I know.  BUT…$$$$$.  And I’d probably eat it before it made it back.  There’s a fat kid living inside me.

What does this have to do with Tuner Evolution 2015?  Nothing.  Except the fact that it was in Philly.  But it wasn’t near the city, it wasn’t near Geno’s which is a favorite spot to get a cheesesteak.  Well, I think we were about 30-40 min away.  This was 3rd or 4th time attending Tuner Evolution.  It has always been an amazing time, even when I haven’t attended.  Yeah, you read that right.  This is a pretty big show for the East Coast to host and it brings out the best builds in the area and then some.

On this trip was myself, Ben, Manny, Srun, Johne, Mike, Kim and Julio.  We wanted to make this show not only because we always had a good time, but also since it was Srun’s last show in the US (he’s moving to Germany for work ☹)  so we said “Why dafuq not?!”  So Ben and I picked up Manny from the hospital since his vag…I mean stomach was bothering him and headed on our way.  During our excursion to Philly, Mike and Julio had some car trouble….but we all made it safely and just in time for our 6pm roll in deadline.

I remember us eating at Buffalo Wild Wings that night, and then going to a “bar” and had a good time.  Entertaining to say the least.  I won a free glass with a keychain in it!  And then that was it, we went back to the room to prepare for the show next day.  The show was amazing as always!  The pictures can fill in the words here (there will be at least 3 posts for this).

During the day we had a fire alarm go off and by the end of the night people were a bit anxious to get out and go home or go to bed or go eat, or whatever they had to do.  Even though no one from my team won an award, it was cool.  The experience and stories are forever memorable.  Pretty sure we took a few shots that night and almost got run over trying to make it back to the hotel, but all was well.  We got up, packed had breakfast and rolled out.  I guess you are wondering when I will talk about the cheesesteaks again.  Didn’t get one.  I guess that’s an excuse to just come back next year 😉

Enjoy the coverage and keep on the lookout for the other parts, there are a lot of pictures, I know it took awhile but school, blah blah, shoot me  😛
