Import Expo DC 9.26.2015 (Part 1, Long Overdue!)

So just a quick disclaimer about this post, I wrote this about 4 months ago.  It’s so long ago, so old and so overdue.  I just want to apologize for those that were waiting for this post or if anyone was waiting for this post.  I got caught up with juggling classes and looking for a new place to live.  Hopefully, you all will enjoy it….and I’ll try not to disappear for so long this time.  Peace!

I’m sure its happened to all of us at some point or another.  You’re working on something on your computer, and you think you save it.  But when you come back and look for it, you can’t find it.  Well, that’s what happened with the 1st write up I did for this post.  I know for a fact that I wrote out a post for this, but I couldn’t for the life of me find out where the fuq I put it.  It happens to the best of us.  Luckily, I found some time (not even, because I’ve been writing this in between assignments at work :P)  to write out another one.  It might not have the same effect, and I might not even write down the same thing but there is one that needs to be said.  How cool is it to have an import show in the Nation’s Capital?

Now, for anyone that’s visited DC before, we are pretty notorious for our streets and potholes.  Hell, even people with unmodified cars don’t like driving in DC! I was surprised that it was being hosted at the Walter E. Convention Center, but then I realized it was a perfect place for it. The convention center plays host to the Auto Show every year.  About a 10 min drive off the exit of 395 and you are there.  ChinaTown is right down the street, The Washington Monument, The U.S. Capital…so many great sights and backdrops for those that wanted to do photoshoots.

I met up with a few of my Elite Performance fam and we rode into the city.  The organizers for the show were very helpful and we were able to have all of parked together.  Maybe not a big deal, but it goes to show how much care and consideration they had for those attending.  We setup, cleaned up, wiped down the cars and before we knew it people were coming in and it was on!  Since it was a nice day, I kept stepping out of the show to walk the streets a bit and do some street photography.  Overall for me, photography wise, it was a great day!!!!  My 1st draft of this post had a bit more about the show.  But I will let the pictures do the talking.  And I’ll have a separate post on the street photography I did.  Keep an eye out on my Instagram.
